Tyler Knowles is a visionary choreographer and trailblazing force in the dance team industry, celebrated for his relentless drive to push boundaries and design bold, unforgettable routines. He is known for his creative direction, mature musicality, and choreographic style that blends athleticism with intentional, modern staging. Stepping into this new season as a professional choreographer with TRIBE 99, Tyler brings a refined point of view shaped by years of breaking new ground as both a male athlete and creator.

Tyler began his training at North Georgia Dance and Music Factory, building a foundation in contemporary, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip hop before earning four state titles with Mill Creek High School's Varsity Dance Team. He went on to make program history twice—first at Grand Canyon University as the first male athlete on their Division I dance team, and later at the University of Georgia as the first male athlete in their athletic dance program. These milestones not only solidified his place in program history but also shaped the confidence, versatility, and leadership that now define his work as a professional creator.

A two-time UDA College Nationals Game Day National Champion (2023, 2024), Tyler has competed and contributed at the highest collegiate level, helping lead teams to multiple national titles. His choreography across studios, high schools, and collegiate programs is recognized for clean, intentional textures; dynamic movement pathways; unexpected musical choices; and staging that feels fresh without sacrificing clarity.

What continues to define Tyler's work is the perspective he gained while challenging norms as a male athlete in spaces where few have gone before. His background fuels a creative approach centered on courage, individuality, and pushing past comfort zones. Tyler is committed to empowering dancers to take risks that elevate both their performance quality and their personal growth.

Now within his professional role with TRIBE 99, Tyler looks forward to expanding his choreographic voice, collaborating with new athletes, and contributing to the evolving standard of what dance team choreography can be.
