LINDSEY KAMYSZEK

JAZZ, HIP HOP

Meet Lindsey Kamyszek, a versatile dancer born and raised in Macomb, Michigan. She began her training in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, acro, and hip-hop at Mary Skiba's School of Dance at the age of two, and has since honed her skills in multiple styles.

Lindsey was a four-year member and senior captain of the Eisenhower Varsity Dance Team, where she helped secure 6 UDA NDTC titles across various divisions of the competition. Her team also achieved impressive results at the 2018 ICU Worlds, placing top 3 in both Premier Jazz and Hip-Hop.

During her time at the University of Michigan, Lindsey was a four-year member and senior captain of the dance team, where she showcased her skills and leadership abilities. She was also a member of Dance 2XS Umich, a local hip-hop group. As she graduates with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2023, Lindsey looks back on her time at Michigan with pride and gratitude for the opportunities she had to grow as a dancer and leader.

Lindsey's passion for dance extends beyond performance as she has worked as a teacher and choreographer for numerous solos, duets, small and large groups across various dance studios in Michigan. She has also conducted various master classes across the state and was on staff at Release Detroit, a drop-in dance studio, where she had a weekly slot.  

Lindsey's dedication and love for dance continue to grow as she strives to improve as both a dancer and choreographer, eager to take on new challenges and showcase her talents.
