SARA LAINE MCNEW

JAZZ, HIP HOP

Sara Laine McNew is a dancer and choreographer currently living in Nashville, TN. Growing up, she trained in all styles at Jill’s Studio of Dance in Huntsville, AL where she had the opportunity to work closely with 10+ professional industry choreographers such as Tyce Diorio, Tessandra Chavez, Talia Favia, Blake McGrath, Josh Killacky and Brian Friedman. She also assisted on several conventions and signed with Go 2 Talent Agency. She helped start the dance team at her high school and this was around the time she realized she loved to choreograph. She started setting studio pieces and solos at 17.

She then attended the University of Alabama and was on their dance team all four years. She competed in D1A Jazz, Hip Hop and Gameday at UDA nationals; in her senior year Alabama made school history and got their highest ranking in Jazz at 6th place. While on the team she got to choreograph numerous half time routines and performance pieces and won the “Choreography Award” at her senior banquet. She worked at The Dance Centre in Tuscaloosa for four years as their advanced Hip Hop teacher where she grew her knowledge in teaching. Throughout those four years, she worked with several high school dance teams as well.

Since graduating, she has moved to Nashville and is currently teaching at Area 54 (hip hop). Sara Laine is extremely excited to take her 22 years of dance experience, passion for choreography, and love for people by working with dancers and teams around the country.
