ALEXA MILLER

JAZZ, HIP HOP, KICK

Alexa Miller is a dancer, performer, coach and choreographer from Long Island, New York who has been competing in dance since she was five years old. Alexa currently coaches Syosset Varsity Kickline, a top 5 NDA High School Nationals competitive program.

She received a dual degree from the University of Michigan: a BFA in Dance and a BA in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience in May of 2022. During her years at Michigan, Alexa performed works by choreographers Ohad Naharin, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Ron De Jesús, and many others. She has also been a member of Dance 2XS UMich, a local hip-hop crew, from 2017-2022, and was appointed the Artistic Director for her last two years.

Throughout the summers, Alexa has trained with Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel, Axis Connect in New York City/Los Angeles, and Marcat Dance in Seville, Spain. She specializes in being diversely trained in multiple genres and concentrates on bringing this versatility into her choreography.

These abilities have facilitated Alexa in working as both a teacher and choreographer at several New York and Michigan dance studios. Alexa has set choreography through TRIBE 99 in the genres of hip hop, jazz, team performance, kick, and gameday. Her choreography's accomplishments include winning Varsity Jazz at NDTC Nationals in 2023 and top three placements at NDA High School Nationals in 2023.
